My husband and kids say they like our old fashioned tree laden with sentimental ornaments best of all, so I have long given up on "designer" trees. Sometimes I still feel like "editing" their work, and it takes all I have to step back, but I'm always glad I do :-)Little GrumpyAngelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14065581455480762162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-823847273927280303.post-42796352056619619192008-12-07T07:36:00.000-07:002008-12-07T07:36:00.000-07:00Definitely a gift :) So sweet. Okay, so SISTERS ...Definitely a gift :) So sweet. Okay, so SISTERS for sure: I don't even MAKE my bed! NOT SO SURE on the tree thing; I HATE decorating the tree. (Mostly, it's the lights.) Yesterday, we bought a 12-foot tree. We also bought four facecords of wood. So, after church and a birthday lunch, we'll be stacking wood and decorating the tree. Oh, and did I mention grades are due tomorrow? Pray for me!!!Mrs4444https://www.blogger.com/profile/06426176094895489541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-823847273927280303.post-3952883985095757872008-12-06T15:35:00.000-07:002008-12-06T15:35:00.000-07:00HAHAHA. And Miles really does have tons of fun when I forget the mess and let him do things his way.

I love that I was reminded of that today, I needed it! :)Heather of the EOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14607422301391841377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-823847273927280303.post-82908984707065798392008-12-05T12:03:00.000-07:002008-12-05T12:03:00.000-07:00I'm feeling all inspired suddenly!I'm feeling all inspired suddenly!Kimberly Vanderhorsthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01653757517652257445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-823847273927280303.post-63092673896646341422008-12-05T10:56:00.000-07:002008-12-05T10:56:00.000-07:00I have my tree, which I do (and I did let one chil...I have my tree, which I do (and I did let one child "help" me this year), but we also have a family tree which my children do. I remember one year when we were super poor so my mom helped us make ornaments by gluiing (badly cut) construction paper circles on frozen orange juice lids and hanging them with a paper clip. Still have some, still use them. The crazy, mismatched trees are always my favorite and it makes me really happy if I get my way and get to buy the wonky Charlie Brown Christmas tree so it won't be lonely.Melanie Jacobsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02489615939726209573noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-823847273927280303.post-54108495017224716492008-12-05T08:41:00.000-07:002008-12-05T08:41:00.000-07:00Its true! I let him help me decorate our table top tree, and he picked all the ugly ornaments to hang in the front, and there are 12 hanging where he can reach to look at them. I tried to move them and he cried.

This post made me realize that it is all worth it.brecksterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00949982512046372422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-823847273927280303.post-19228472158929912882008-12-05T07:35:00.000-07:002008-12-05T07:35:00.000-07:00*clap clap clap clap clap*The real reason for the ...*clap clap clap clap clap*

The real reason for the season is love.

Why is it so hard to remember sometimes?!That Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15006763952612909570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-823847273927280303.post-33030366085922247282008-12-05T07:12:00.000-07:002008-12-05T07:12:00.000-07:00I love that you tried all of those different theme...I love that you tried all of those different themes. All of these things I am learning about you that I feel like I should have known!

I LOVE the kid-made ornaments. They are my faves. Congrats to your letting go, and to the Little Prince for his own style. See, you are raising artists of your own!Kazzyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04411131948607000725noreply@blogger.com
