I'm just a click away...

A longtime blogging buddy of mine asked me to guest-post on his blog today. That's right—I said his. And it was a not a typo. I have one blogger-friend who's a man, and he's known as Gunfighter. He works in law enforcement in the Washington, D.C. area, and is a wonderful father, a seeker of truth, and a great writer, plus a heckuva nice guy.

I wrote the post last weekend, about my experience seeing the movie Julie and Julia...and the emotions it brought up for me. The thought process was pretty intense.

But it's not here, it's over there....so go pay a visit to my friend Gunfighter.
Then come back and tell me what you thought.

Cheers!

What did I think? What I always think: you are an amaing, intuitive, unique woman who I am honored to know. For all that you give, I hope that ten thousand is returned to you. You are such a joy--a treasured voice of reassurance and friendship. God Bless, Charrette.

Hmm. I think I need to see that movie.

I just spend the last half hour wandering through Gunfighters blog. Fascinating stuff there.

I commented over there. You're wonderful. Nuff said.

I LOVED the movie, because of the cooking, the sweet love story of Julia and her husband, and the discovery through blogging.

And you have been one of those strong friends to me that you mentioned in your post. We learn different lessons from different friends and different personal experiments. Love ya.

Um...L.T. stole all the right words for her comment.

Oh lady, I LOVED the post. Now I REALLY want to see that movie and watch more closely for the things you talked about.

You give a gift of seeing things through your eyes every time you write. It's always exactly what I need. And what you wrote is exactly how I feel about the gift you've given me.

ugh, now I'm all weepy.

Excellent writing, as usual. And isn't it fun to have a few male blogging buddies? I always enjoy reading their perspectives.

Hi! I'm so excited, I just came across your blog after "googling" my great great great great grandmother, Rebecca Burdick Winters. I read your post from the 24th of July, and absolutely loved it! Not much is known or has been passed down in my family about her because of my grandparents being divorced, but everything I learn about her and her father is so wonderful, and I too feel a connection to her. Anything you could share with me would be greatly appreciated! I guess you could say we're cousins. (although quite distant) ;) my email is maryheatherbarlow@yahoo.com

Gosh I've missed you. I love how your posts are like a little slice of who you are. Warm, witty, and inspiring. And I agree with Eowyn's sentiment - methinks I need to see that movie.
